Procida to host inaugural rosé wine competition
PROCIDA - The island, that was in January nominated as Italy's 2022 Culture Capital, announced on Thursday that it is to hold the inaugural '50 top rosé' competition. Procida, a small island of the coast of Naples is currently planning its year of cultural activity that will see it become a focal point for all of Italy.
Leonardo Castagliola, Procida's Alderman for Tourism, wrote on Facebook, "On May 27th in Procida the first edition of the 50 top rosé competition will be held. Campania hosts the final evening that will give life to the drive for the 50 best Italian rosé wines.
"The wine selection was curated by two greats professionals: Chiara Giorleo and Adele Elisabetta Granieri. Ilva charm and the beauty of our island will be host to this prestigious event... This is just the beginning, one of the many projects that sees the wine gastronomy of the Campi Flegrei and Campania at the center of our tourist project."
